S14 is the shape of the round bulbs in patio and café string lights, 1-3/4" across. Feit’s S14 string light bulbs have a standard E26 base, the same screw base as an ordinary household bulb.
Size and base
The number in a bulb code is its widest point in eighths of an inch, so an S14 is 14/8, or 1-3/4", across. An “S14 E26” bulb has an S14 shape and an E26 base. E26 is the standard screw base in North American homes.
Match the base printed on the old bulb or the string’s box before you choose a replacement.

Feit’s selectable S14 switches between 140 and 70 lumens each time the wall switch is turned off and back on, with no dimmer.

Outside

The string’s own limits
Check the string’s tag or instructions for the most watts per bulb before you put in a different bulb, and for how many strings can be joined end to end. Feit’s 48 ft. LED string (72129) has 24 sockets and uses 24 watts with its own bulbs.
Twenty-four of Feit’s 11 watt incandescent S14s would draw 264 watts, eleven times the LED string’s 24, so check the string’s limit first. To see what a string costs to run, use the electricity cost calculator.
